Oral Habilitation, Bottlefeeding consult
This home visit is all about baby. This visit is focused on improving bottle feeding skills. This visit also examines babies oral anatomy for anything that may be preventing them from taking a bottle. This visit is also provided for an infant who needs oral habilitation before tongue tie or lip tie releases (frenectomy), and after frenectomy. For a consult to help with pumping, latching, milk supply, baby weight gain issues, etc. please choose an in home consult or a pumping consult as these issues will not be addressed in this visit, please book an initial lactation visit to address these concerns as oral habilitation can also be included in lactation visits.
up to 1 hour- for clients who do not have in network insurance there is a deposit fee of $150 and a superbill will be provided to client to seek insurance reimbursement.
If this visit is for a breastfed or breastmilk fed baby it is billed as a lactation visit and clients with in network Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medical Mutual plans will have no upfront cost. When this visit is provided for a non-breastfeeding, or breastmilk fed infant (such as an exclusively formula fed baby in which mother/lactating parent is not pumping or latching), this visit is billed under baby only and there is typically a portion of this visit which is applied to any remaining deductible and/or coinsurance; for clients with in network Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medical Mutual plans with this visit, your insurance will be billed directly and you will be invoiced any cost sharing applied by your insurance company.
If you choose a telehealth visit, please be aware you may have a coinsurance or copayment for telehealth depending on your plan coverage. If a travel fee is applied, it is not covered by insurance and is the responsibility of the patient.
